Knee-High Boots For Kids…. What The Hell!?
Updated : Mar 19, 2009
Another great invention from the company which brought the world stiletto shoes for babies - knee-high leather boots for tots.
The cowboy-style high-heeled boots are aimed at infants aged from newborn to six-months-old. The six-inch high boots are made from patent leather, have silk lining on the inside and even come with silver spurs. They are available in black and pink and are available to buy over the internet for £30.
The boots US designers Heelarious claim they are "sassy" and bring "hysterical laughter" to both baby and mother. Hayden Porter, owner of Heelarious, said: "The boots are a brand new range which we've just brought in and people are very excited about them."
Claude Knights, director of Kidscape, said: "It is just ridiculous. It is totally and utterly inappropriate - what is the point? Children of that age shouldn't even be wearing shoes, let alone heels. The time has come for parents to use their brains and let babies be babies - they are not dolls to be made into characters."
VeryHappyPig says well said Mr Knights, let kids be kids for goodness sake!
