A young Irish man who was left in a coma after an attack in Australia has woken up after seven months.
David Keohane from Cork was beaten, and all but left for dead in Syndey last August, but emerged from the coma on St Patricks Day.
Mr Keohane is now awake and talking but still requires medical care. It is believed he will remain in hospital for at least another six weeks. He will also face a long period of recovery but his family and friends are said to be delighted he is now out of the coma.
VeryHappyPig says get well soon, David.
