That’s Gas

Updated : Apr 14, 2009

Irish people could find themselves with a much needed boost to ever declining coffers after it was revealed both gas and electricity are set to drop before the summer.

Gas prices will drop 12 percent as early as next month while bills for domestic and small businesses will be 10 percent cheaper from June.

Indeed users of Gas could be in for a further 10 percent cut in October if global prices, as expected continue to decline.

The falls come after the energy regulator decided that part of the drop in global prices should be passed on to the Irish punter.

“We are passing on all we can. Overall what we have tried to do is smooth over the gas prices over the year. I am very hopeful that come October 1 prices will fall further.”

VeryHappyPig doesn’t know what all the fuss is about we don’t know what’s wrong with a bit of turf and a fire?
