No confirmed cases of swine flu in Ireland

Ireland is Swine Flu free.
Four people tested in this country for the deadly virus have been given the all clear, health chiefs confirmed last night.
The Health Service Executive (HSE) said there were no probable or confirmed cases of the virus in the country at this stage.
Concerned patients came forward for tests as a precaution after returning from the United States and Mexico and officials expect an influx of people wanting check-ups after returning from long-haul holidays.
Health Minister Mary Harney today briefed government ministers on the latest developments in relation to risks facing Ireland at the weekly Cabinet meeting.
“(The Minister) informed the Government that response systems were well prepared and that Irish authorities were liaising closely with relevant agencies in other countries,†said a Government spokesman.
Ms Harney will be attending a meeting of EU health ministers on Thursday in Luxembourg to discuss the issue.
The Department of Foreign Affairs has urged Irish citizens travelling in Mexico to exercise extreme caution in coming days.
