Rents Continue To Drop
Updated : May 6, 2009
More Happy news for tenants as rents are continuing to fall across the country, according to the latest figures supplied by Daft.ie.
The property website says average rents are down 5% in the first three months of this year and are now 16% lower than they were this time last year.
Daft.ie says the largest falls in rent so far this year have been in Dublin and Limerick.
The website says the number of properties available to rent is currently at an all-time high of 23,000, with supply continuing to outstrip demand.
VeryHappyPig is considering asking our landlord to decrease our rent accordingly but we are four months in arrears, so maybe it wouldn’t be a good idea.
