Silly Blagger- Cheecky Begger
Updated : May 20, 2009
A Scotsman who opted to try and blag free stuff instead of mopping around in the recession has written a book about his experience.
James Spence decided to stop mopping around after finding himself out of pocket and attempted to blag himself as many freebies as he could. Hundreds of emails later and the IT worker has been sent a catalogue of free stuff.
Spence is now the proud owner off a toy Ferrari, an abundance of cuddly toys, cups, and a pair of Sherk ears amongst other things.
Getting married, buying a house and graduating all within a couple of months forced the now author to first get out his internet begging bowl, and he hasn’t looked back since.
“I was only just breaking even so I went online to see if I could blag teabags and my simple email worked. So I started to make my emails even more elaborate and daring. It got addicitive, it was like Christmas had come every time the postman arrived. The most exciting part is you never know what you’re going to get.â€
VeryHappyPig is now going to take up blaging, and our first freebie request will be for a copy of Spence’s book.
