Mortgage Break Could Be A Relief

Home-owners under pressure to make their mortgage repaymentscould be in line to get a break from small lenders.
The Government said yesterday it wants to extend the "last resort rule" on court proceedings over mortgage arrears to all lenders.
The main banks are required to extensively exhaust all possibilities before repossessing a home and Taoiseach Brian Cowen wants to see this applied by all lenders as a code of practice.
