Spiderman Strikes Again
Updated : Jun 2, 2009
Infamous French skyscraper climber “Spiderman†was at it again in Australia last weekend after scaling a 41-story building with his bare hands, stopping traffic on the busy street below.
Around 200 people gathered yesterday to watch as Alain Robert climbed to the top of the Royal Bank of Scotland Tower in downtown Sydney.
Robert is known for scaling some of the world’s tallest and best known buildings without ropes or other equipment.
Police closed off a section of the busy street below, causing gridlock. The crowd cheered as Robert reached the top. He then descended to street level, where officers arrested him.
Robert has climbed more than 70 skyscrapers around the world, including the Eiffel Tower and the Empire State Building.
