We know we predicted good weekend weather yesterday but its such good news VeryHappyPig thinks it is worth repeating- the warm weather is to stay until the weekend.
Met Eireann said yesterday that most areas would be dry, although there was the risky of some heavy, thundery downpours, particularly on Saturday.
“There will be lots of warm, dry weather with temperatures around 20C to 25C, above average for June,†a Met Eireann forecaster said. “However, there will be the risk of showers, but they are not going to be as severe as the ones that affected the North West on Tuesday.
“Plenty of areas are set to stay completely dry and won’t see any rain at all.
“There is the risk of showers tomorrow, some will be quite heavy and possibly even thundery. They will mostly affect Connacht, Munster, and parts of Leinster.
“There is a lot of dry, calm weather for the weekend, but there is a chance of some showers, particularly on Saturday."
Apart from a few showers, much of Leinster, including the Dublin area, will be dry, Met Eireann said. Today will also be dry and warm.
