Irish Singer Signed For Big World Show
Updated : Jul 1, 2009
A new rising Irish star, OisÃn Kavanagh is to perform with Ten Time Grammy Award Winner Bobby McFerrin in the European Premier of his world tour of a project called Bobble.
McFerrin’s project kicked off in Carnegie Hall in New York to rave reviews and will see its European debut in Germany on July 3rd where it will be performed as part of two concerts at the outdoor Roman Theatre in Augusta Raurica. And Irish starlet Kavanagh will perform on the show.
OisÃn is a young Irish singer based in Basel in Switzerland who is making quite a name for himself presently across Europe.
Originally from Clogh Co Kilkenny, Oisin has one of the freshest singing voices to emerge out of Ireland in recent years. His extraordinary and unique voice is not easy to compare, but it would be fair to say the closest comparison would be to James Morrison, Paolo Nutini or Josh Groben.
Oisin has written material for a forthcoming album which has been described as some of the best material heard from an unsigned artist in recent years. He plans to release the album later this year and a number of Irish dates are to be announced for late October which include an appearance at Sligo Live alongside Martha Wainwright, Imelda May, Wallis Bird and others.
VeryHappyPig says yet another Irish success story.
