Representatives of the social partners have said the Government is to announce a €500m venture capital fund to boost enterprise. The proposal is part of the Government's agenda for economic renewal.
The plan is to be publicised this afternoon.
The Taoiseach, Brian Cowen has said that the aim of the programme is to make Ireland an ideal location for business innovation.
