Blindness Cure Under Trial

A new treatment that could cure some types of blindness starts its two-year trial, with around 20 patients taking part, this month in Glasgow.
Scientists are hopeful the revolutionary treatment, which involves the use of adult stem cells, could restore the sight of those with corneal blindness. Corneal blindness blindness affects millions of people around the world, 80 per cent of whom are elderly.
