150 Fishermen Saved After Freak Weather Hits a Ohio Lake.
Updated : Feb 10, 2009
150 fishermen were saved at western Lake Erie in Ohio after a freak ice flow hit the lake where the fishermen were fishing. Basically what happened was the lake froze before their very eyes, when the temperature plummeted to -10!
The Coast Guard, which used boats and helicopters to rescue the men, said it was surveying the area to see if there were other people on flows. The fishermen were near Crane Creek State Park on the western shore of Lake Erie in northern Ohio when the freak ice flow drifted into the lake.
