Company Apologises To Blind Man For Calling Him 'Mr BlindMan'
Updated : Feb 22, 2009
A council contractor from Hull in the UK has been forced to apologise to a blind man after sending him a letter addressed to 'Mr BlindMan.'
Paul Harris, also of Hull, was shocked when a friend read the letter from Kier Building Maintenance informing him of the modifications to be done to his home to help with his disability.
Mr Harris said: "I was literally horrified that they can send anything through the post saying 'Dear Mr BlindMan'. You wouldn't send a letter to a person who's got Down's Syndrome saying Dear Mr Down's Syndrome would you?"
The company apologised saying the blunder happened when Mr Harris's disability was mistakenly entered as his name on its database.
