Kerry Airport On The Up And Kerry Man Sings For The Most Powerful Man On The Globe!

Kerry Airport passenger numbers for 2008 are up on the 2007 figures. The new Kerry to Luton service has had a positive impact on the Airport. In a report on the operations and activities of Kerry Airport by Councillor Brendan Cronin said “The 9 o’clock Dublin Flight was seen as a major issue for the board of the airport."
Cllr Brendan Cronin says the board of Kerry Airport wrote directly to Michael O’Leary asking Ryanair to return the 9am Kerry to Dublin flight.
However, Mr O’Leary’s response was a definite no, despite this, every effort will be made to try and restore this service. According to Cllr Cronin, Kerry Airport's overall development plan has not been turned down, but has been put on the long finger. The Airport has been requested to prioritise a number of items, but the proposed large terminal building has been shelved for now.
And in other Kerry news, a Tralee man has been chosen to play for the worlds most powerful man, the president of the United States Of America, Barrack Obama in the Whitehouse this St Paddy’s Day. David Kearney, who is an experienced musician and Irish dancer, will accompany a group of musicians and dancers from across Ireland to entertain President Obama and his guests.
