‘His and Her Chores’ Revealed
Updated : Mar 12, 2009
Mowing the lawn and putting bins out are men's jobs, while keeping the house clean and changing nappies are best done by women, says a survey conducted by TheBabyWebsite.com.
"Blue jobs" for guys also include cleaning windows, getting things out of the attic, unblocking toilets, investigating strange noises in the night and removing spiders from the bath. "Pink jobs" for women involve remembering birthdays and anniversaries, organising the social calendar and replacing the toilet roll when it runs out.
A spokesman said: "The delegation of chores has nothing to do with our ability or inability to do tasks. It's just that men tend to be better at more hands-on chores and women are naturally more organised and methodical in their approach to running the house."
The study found at least one shared job though - cooking.
VeryHappyPig is very domesticated, although I am afraid of spiders so Miss Piggy has to remove them from the bath!
