Rally Girl Taking On The Boys
Updated : Jan 12, 2009
Ireland's Toni Kelly is set to take on the world's best at this year's Irish round of the World Rally Championship.
Toni, (19) from Letterkenny, will be the only female driver taking part in Rally Ireland, the country's biggest sporting event of the year.
The race will take place between January 30 and February 1 in the north-west and Toni plans to be a force to be reckoned with when she hits the track.
"To be honest it is nice to be different from everyone else. I suppose it gives me a chance to represent all the girls in a World Championship event", she said.
Toni was also the youngest Irish competitor ever to get an international rally licence when she was just 17 years old.
